Recreation Assistant (Park Attendant)

Performs and/or assists in conducting routine inspection rounds of the facility to deter vandalism, ensure buildings are locked, and to ensure that Short Stay boating equipment is securely fastened. Maintains recreation areas, tools, and equipment in a neat and orderly manner. Assists in conducting inventories. Assists in preparation and cleanup of park areas, including equipment and Short Stay facilities. Ensures that facilities remain secure after normal hours of operation. Provides gate security by maintaining guest and visitor access log after normal hours of operation. Acts as the primary point of contact for emergency situations for after normal hours of operations. Collects after hour's user fees and issues receipts, registers late lodging check-ins, and assigns camping spaces to late arrivals. Provides guests and visitors with information about Short Stay and the local area. Keeps records and prepares reports pertaining to after normal hours of operation. Maintains and safe guards change fund and daily cash receipts accepted for user fees after normal hours of operation. Ensures that entry into Short Stay is authorized by showing a valid and current Department of Defense Identification card. Position is a position of trust. Performs other duties as assigned. Experience:
Must be able to speak, write, and comprehend English. Must have a current state driver's license. Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds. Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical and a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). Prior customer service or cash handling experience is desired, but not required. Must have a high school diploma.
