Program Manager

Job Description Arcadis is seeking a Program Manager to join our Environmental Business Line in the southeast. The ideal candidate will have 15 years or more of progressively responsible experience in managing the design and construction of Data Centers and other Industrial Market Sectors (Aerospace, Conglomerates, Chem/Pharma) across the US, but with a focus in the East region. Must have experience with A/E design-build, CMAR, and design-bid-build delivery methods for construction/refurbishment of data centers and/or corporate facilities. Candidates will have experience in all project phases: planning, design/preconstruction, procurement, construction, commissioning & validation. Responsible for the overall financial results of assigned projects. Manages work to be in compliance with state, local and Federal requirements. Monitors subcontractor adherence to safety standards. Excellent analytical, communication, and computer skills are also required. Operates with the highest ethical standards. The desired candidate has a proven reputation for excellence in client relationship development and management.   Position expectations include, but are not limited to:oExperience in the Data Center market Experience with large design and construction projects through all project phases: planning; design/preconstruction, procurement, construction, commissioning & validation, with focus on expansion, rehabilitation, and retrofit. Capital planning and financial reporting on projects assigned. Marketing; managing and leading the growth of client relationships. Project Management with high levels of client satisfaction and collaboration among stakeholders. Assist with the coordination, reconciliation and integration of functional schedules to create the project control schedule. Review schedules, analyze critical path updates, schedule progress, evaluate schedule options, communicate schedule status to client, consultants and others. Establish and maintain detailed cost reports, change notices and other cost control tools. Evaluate RFI's, submittals and Field Memos for cost impact. Have a solid understanding of different forms of contract procurement and contract administration. Manage projects to completion on-time, within budget and within the scope of work. Produce reports and briefings using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and PMIS systems. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Responsible for the professional and financial success including sales (contract bookings), net revenue, profitability, client management, proposal development, marketing, project management, team engagement. Knowledge of the local/regional data center construction market, especially related to program, project and construction management, to drive project delivery to support market growth locally and throughout the region. Act as a local business development leader and program manager (seller-doer), managing PMs, field staff, and support staff on complex projects from inception to closure (budget, schedule, scope, plan and direct consulting activities, quality control, etc.). Candidate will participate in development of Annual and Strategic plans for clients within the Industrial Market Sectors and execute those plans. Serves as the client liaison. Actively develops and maintains client relationships and builds new business, and participates in the evaluation of new project opportunities; Identifies and executes project proposals, develops interview teams, and project marketing budgets. Engages and works with various local, national, and global technical leaders as appropriate. Maintains visibility and professionalism in the market by participating in civic and professional organizations and encouraging all staff to do the same. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management and 15 years as a Project Manager for design/construction projects, with at least 5 years in the data center arena. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; and PMIS systems. Team or business leadership experience, at least five years of which are in the A/E/C or professional services industry. Proven record of growing a business with direct business development responsibility. Experience with operations management, staff leadership, and managing teams and projects. Candidates must possess excellent, clear and concise, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously is required with strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, team-oriented and flexible individual must possess the initiative and ability to tackle new projects and challenges daily. Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineering License or AIA Certification Experience leading a program, project or construction management business preferred. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
