Project Controls Lead

Job Description Arcadis is seeking a Project Controls Lead to join our technology team. This is a site-based position to support a data center site located in the?Eastern Region. The successful candidates will have capital cost controls and estimating expertise in the construction arena, with a strong focus on MEP services. Experience in Data Center construction is highly desirable but not essential. The successful candidate must be technical, organized with strong communication skills and have a proven track record. A work history that represents increased levels of responsibility on a progressive basis is important.    Primary Responsibilities and Duties: Performs conceptual cost estimates for a variety of commercial building types. Must understand construction means and methods. Performs cost estimates for civil, structural, architectural, plumbing, HVAC and electrical disciplines. Prepare material, labor, and equipment cost estimates for concept designs, design development documents, bid documents, and change orders. Work with client project management team to agree GMPs. Estimate and negotiate potential change orders. Cost validation and quantity surveying on an as needed basis. Monitoring and audit compliance. Coordinate with project manager staff to establish initial budgets, develop cost estimates working with suppliers and other sources, and perform monthly Estimate at Completions on projects. Analyze projects to ensure that project funding is adequate by performing estimates, cost forecasts, cost trends, and accrual of actual costs. Reconcile program and project controls data with the client's fiscal and financial controls systems. Change management and control, budget management and documentation, fiscal and cost reports, charts, graphics, trend analyses, and document control. Should be able to effectively use a management reporting data warehouse to perform these tasks. Ability to present results of cost analyses to senior staff and clients. Risk-based approach to the development of time and cost contingencies. Required Qualifications 10+ years of project controls experience related to cost estimating and cost analysis. BS/BA Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or another construction related subject or a non-cost BS/BA degree and additional cost estimating experience. Microsoft Excel, Means Construction Cost Data and other cost estimating software tools Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Google Suite CCEA, CCP, CEP, CCC, MRICS or equivalent registration/certifications. Required Driving Statement This position requires a current valid driver's license and clean driving record. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
