Material Handler Lead - 1st Shift

1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm

What you ll do on a typical day:

  • Ensure all work is performed safely and according to safety procedures
  • Provide on-the-job training to new associates on department processes
  • Participate and direct a team using Lean warehousing methodologies
  • Perform departmental processes and safely operate equipment to complete duties

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you ll need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 75 lbs. occasionally
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
  • Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
  • Knowledge of QMS (Quality Management Systems) and Lean Warehousing
  • Experience operating material handling equipment and using an RF scanner
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, including: lifting objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights; bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, pushing and pulling, standing, sitting, or walking for long periods of time; able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel tools or equipment
  • Ability to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, with possible overtime when needed

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
